Sarah Rundle
Sarah Rundle is a true “Jill-of-all-Trades,” blending creativity, entrepreneurship, and community service throughout her diverse career. She began in hospitality bartending during college in San Francisco, quickly moving into the world of Michelin-starred restaurants, including The French Laundry, Coi, and Benu. Alongside her culinary career, Sarah explored winemaking in Napa Valley, consulted for a luxury caviar brand, and undertook a photo documentary project on the Apollo Space Shuttle engines.
In 2018, Sarah co-founded a fresh truffle brand with two colleagues from The French Laundry to bring transparency to a traditionally opaque industry. When the pandemic struck in 2020, she pivoted the business by launching online cooking classes using truffle products, reaching 150,000 people with recipes and on-demand content. Under her leadership, Truffle Shuffle grew from three employees to fifty, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and earned a Shark Tank deal with Mark Cuban for over $500,000.
Following the acquisition of Truffle Shuffle by Butcher Box, Sarah shifted her focus to community impact, working with the pediatric medical non-profit Little Wishes, a former fundraising client of Truffle Shuffle. As if this were enough for most people, she’s even delivered two babies! She continues to stay active in her personal passions, hiking with her Great Pyrenees, serving in EMS in Weld County, CO, and pursuing a nursing degree.
Sarah is driven by innovation, resilience, and service – bringing creativity and leadership to everything she does.
Approved by the Fort Collins Historic Preservation Services Department in December 2014, “Living Her Legacy’s” request–to create the first highly visible, public, outdoor, historic art / education exhibit recognizing women’s accomplishments–took root with great anticipation and excitement. In 2015, the selection process of the forty-eight Living Her Legacy Honorees began and was completed in 2018. A dedicated community of over 100 volunteers nominated, judged, and selected the final forty-eight Legacy Honorees–women with ties to Northern Colorado.
