The Innovator’s Blueprint
Balancing Life & Achieving High-Level Success
Innovators, especially those creating something completely new, often are described as driven, as people willing to forego much of life outside of their work to reach pinnacles of success.
The challenge for them: finding balance in life AND reaching those career high marks.
Quid Novi will explore how that can happen at its April 28th showcase.
Quid Novi founder Rick Griggs
An author and consultant who has worked with companies around the U.S., Europe, Australia and Canada for more than 40 years and innovators for 16 years, will lead the discussion with the goal of helping innovators live long enough to balance life and achieve goals.
Griggs worked at Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC) and National Semiconductor (now part of Texas Instruments Inc. NYSE: TXN) as productivity manager. He holds degrees in psychology, business, and French.
Early in his career, he witnessed a work tragedy involving a co-worker that changed his life and resulted in a decision to leave corporate employment and to start his business. He created the Theory of Balanced Mastery to save lives and increase life mastery.
He introduced the Mastery Circle Life Assessment tool in his book Personal Wellness (Crisp Publications, published in five languages.)
Griggs’ assessment tool will be shared with attendees April 28. It will provide a visual and quantitative look at balance vs. achievement in life, today and in the future.
The tool can help innovators “build a well-rounded lifestyle that promotes longevity AND mastery.
Attendees will leave with a completed version of their Mastery Circle personal life assessment,” Griggs said.
Quid Novi, Latin for “what’s new,” attempts to shed light on innovation.
The April 28 showcase will be 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Forge Events Center Collaboratory Room, 815 14th St. SW in Loveland. A $20 admission will be charged, which includes hors d’oeuvres. Drinks will be available for purchase.
Griggs founded Quid Novi in 2010 to cross boundaries for innovation and collaboration while encouraging participants to think and discover new ideas.
“After 40 years of consulting, I’m astonished at how many creative breakthroughs emerge from outside each industry,” he said.
