Ken Jessen
President – J.V. Publications LL.C.
Jessen,
a former Hewlett-Packard engineer, has become the de facto regional historian. His published works number more than 20 titles and include topics such as ghost towns of Colorado, the history of the sugar beet industry, community histories and one about the trolley cars of Fort Collins. He self-publishes his works.
Linda Osmundson
Award-winning Author and Freelance Writer
Osmundson
has written numerous books for children. Her “How the West was Drawn” series explored artwork of the American West. Another, “Papa’s Changes” was written for children to detail the experience of caring for her husband through his dementia journey. Osmundson has used both traditional publishing houses and self-publishing techniques.
Ken Amundson
Retired Editor and Published Author
Amundson,
recently retired after 51 years in the newspaper publishing business, self-published his first book this year, “From Harbor to Harvest.” The title of the Quid Novi showcase, The Agony of the Untold Story, expresses the drive that each of these authors has to record for all time stories that otherwise would be lost to history.

Approved by the Fort Collins Historic Preservation Services Department in December 2014, “Living Her Legacy’s” request–to create the first highly visible, public, outdoor, historic art / education exhibit recognizing women’s accomplishments–took root with great anticipation and excitement. In 2015, the selection process of the forty-eight Living Her Legacy Honorees began and was completed in 2018. A dedicated community of over 100 volunteers nominated, judged, and selected the final forty-eight Legacy Honorees–women with ties to Northern Colorado.
